The fieldwork of the research within the framework of the project “Armenian Youth in Post-War Armenia: Research and Discourse” is in its final stages.

As we have already announced, within the framework of the project, at least 1000 young people from different regions of Armenia and Yerevan will participate in the survey, and 80 young people will participate in focus group discussions and in-depth interviews.

We have started the research work with a training for selected young researchers on the methodology of youth research, research methods and tools, and ethical standards.

At this stage of the fieldwork, we are pleased to present the work already carried out. Thus, about 900 young people from Yerevan and all marzes participated in the quantitative survey, and we conducted individual interviews with 15 young people, as well as organized and conducted 5 group discussions with young people.

We had the opportunity to present the interim results of the research within the framework of an international conference organized by YSU Faculty of Sociology

We have developed a series of infographics on the stages of development of youth studies, youth concepts, and youth research methodologies. We have also started presenting the interim results of the survey in infographics. 

Research works are still ongoing: in the near future, we will conduct group discussions, quantitative surveys in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia, as well as consultative meetings with state, international and local organizations, and specialists working with youth.
We will continue to present the current results, aiming to contribute to the development of scientific knowledge and public discourse on youth in Armenia.
